The ZOLLERN Group is a leading supplier to the metalworking industry with a wide range of manufacturing technologies that have been developed and perfected over the company's 300-year history. With its 300-year company tradition, ZOLLERN belongs to the pioneers of the metal industry and has continuously defined development from an early stage. 3,000 highly dedicated employees design, produce, sell and service a range of innovative metal products at 21 sites and downstream in Europe, America and Asia. The ZOLLERN Group, headquartered in Laucherthal, Germany, consists of five business units: Casting and Forging Technology (Sand Casting, Investment Casting, Forging); Drive Technology (Gears, Winches, Direct Drive Motors, Automation, Turntable Systems); Bearing Technology (Sliding Bearings, Hydrostatic and Aerostatic Bearings); Steel Profiles; Engineered Components. The company offers its customers special solutions in key branches such as power generation, automotive, aviation, naval industry, construction machinery and mechanical engineering.

Since 1972, drive technology has developed into the largest business area of the ZOLLERN Group. It consists of the main product groups including direct drives, gearboxes and winches with integrated flange drive gearboxes. ZOLLERN drive technology covers equipment for construction machinery, ship and port cranes and wind turbines and is widely used in machines all over the world. This includes a large number of standard and special solutions, designed to meet the specific requirements of each application area.

ZOLLERN offers customized automation solutions from individual linear modules, robot slide axes and turnkey systems. Standardized linear technology with nominal loads from 1 to 5,000 kg enables complex handling processes to be carried out efficiently and precisely. Dynamic, heavy-load handling equipment can be assembled by the customer using individual modules, or ZOLLERN can supply a plant upon request.

Casting and forging have a long tradition at ZOLLERN, dating back to the company's origins more than 300 years ago. Since then, the range of processes has increased considerably so that today's manufacturing processes include: forging; rolling; sand casting; shell casting; centrifugal casting; investment casting - open and vacuum. These developments have been accompanied by a massive increase in the materials available. Today, cast and forged products made from around 700 different alloys are available for many markets. Companies from the automotive industry, aerospace travel, ship and machine building, electrical engineering and energy generation are on the customer list.

At ZOLLERN, they produce steel profiles in close cooperation with customers from a wide range of industries and develop special design and manufacturing solutions. Precise preformed profiles are ideal for complex components that need to withstand high strains. The manufacturing processes used by ZOLLERN to produce the profiles increase the material strength through correct cold forming and heat treatment, and they also improve the processing properties if required. The continuously further developed and improved manufacturing processes combined with the latest quality assurance systems make ZOLLERN synonymous with top standards in the industry.
